Bhrigu Lake
The pristine Brighu lake is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Labeled as the pool of god this lake attracts numerous tourists every year. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains from all sides, this lake is nestled at an elevation of 4235m above sea level. As per the legend, Rishi Bhrighu, a renowned sage meditated at this place for a long period.
There is another belief that many gods of the Kullu valley took a holy dip in the water and this is the reason this lake is considered sacred by Hindus. This lake is the starting point of the Bhrighu lake trek and thus it is visited by trekkers. Make sure to visit this lake from May to June and from October to November.
