Beautifully situated in Manali, GadhanThekchhokling Gompa monastery is a famous religious center, especially for Buddhists constructed in the year 1960 by Tibetan refugees, this monastery is built in traditional Tibetan architecture.

One can witness the beautiful lawns on either side leading to the porch and then to the entrance of the monastery. There is a giant statue of  Lord Buddha, colorful murals, several tombs, and prayer wheels. The first floor of the building is only used for meditation and can be only used for meditation and can be used by the visitors visiting the monastery. This monastery is a small shrine devoted to Lord Buddha. On reaching here one will find some pretty murals on the structure that depicts lord Buddha’s ideas and values about humanity and life.

The monastery monks offer prayers, study, and share their knowledge about Buddhism and the importance of tolerance and non-violence. One visiting this monastery can sit and meditate in the serene atmosphere of this monastery. One can even visit the market near the monastery and grab some Tibetan items. The best time to visit the monastery is between October to February and March to June.
