Rahala Waterfalls
The gorgeous Rahala waterfall is located at a good distance of 29kms from the Manali bus stand and is located at an altitude of around 9000 feet. A fantastic escape for nature lovers and photographers, this place is well-known as a picnic spot for locals and tourists on their way to Rohtang Pass. The water of Rahala waterfall is cold and it originates from the melting glacier located in the Himalayas.
Rahala waterfall is beautifully surrounded by pretty deodar and Silver Birch trees. Capture the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains from here. The chirping of birds, the whistling of trees, the pleasant atmosphere, and the gorgeous waterfall make this place a must-visit. Those who have an adventure bend of mind can trek to Rahala waterfall from Gulaba.
One can reach Gulaba from Manali by shared taxis or private car. From Gulaba the trek starts and is a steep climb up the Leh-Manali highway where the waterfall is located. The perfect time to visit Rahala waterfall is between March and October when maximum water gorges down the rocks.
