1. Kullu Manali

There is a 20 km rafting from Manaki to Jhiri in the Kullu district and 14 km river rafting stretch from Pirdi to Jhiri in Manali and other than there is there are two small stretches that are perfect for beginners located on the Kullu Manali route.

Rafting Stretch: 4 km, 6 km, 10 km, 12 km & 14 km.
2. Shimla
There is no place located inside Shimla city to enjoy river rafting near Shimla one needs to travel 50 km to reach Tattapani where one can enjoy river rafting in the Sutlej river. River rafting in the Sutlej river is only advisable for the experienced rafter as there are various turbulence and rapids of a higher grade. One can enjoy the three different distances of rafting that is 9 km 12 km and 20 km in the Satluj river. There is a 3 km stretch located in village Sunni which is for beginners. The 12 km stretch that goes from Chabba to Tattapani is more adventurous than the previous one having the Rapid grade 2. The 20 km stretch from Luhri is not permissible for beginners as the rafting grade goes up to grade 3 which is permitted for experienced rafters only.

Rafting time: 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Rafting Stretch: 9 km, 12km & 20 km.
3. Lahaul & Spiti
There are two different sides that are approved by the administration of Lahaul and Spiti for river rafting in the Chandra Bhaga river as this promotes adventure sports and tourism in this particular region. The first site is located near the Atal from Gufa Hotel which goes up to Pagal Nullah and is almost a one km long stretch and another site is located from Muling to Tandi which is a 2.5 km long stretch. There is a third side considered for river rafting that goes from Gozang bridge to Tandi and is having a 4 km long stretch. Lahaul & Spiti is the Gateway for river rafting that starts from Koksar and is a 90 km long stretch that is connected to Tandi.

Rafting time: 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Rafting Stretch: 1 km, 4 km & 2.5 km.
Rafting Duration: 1.5 hours
4. Chamba
The river rafting in the Chamba district is done in the river Ravi and Sal that flows through the place. The government is initiating river rafting for this reason to promote the tourism of a particular region. River rafting in the Chamba district will really increase the thrill as the gushing water gushes into the Rocky banks of the river, it is not permissible to enjoy this activity during the monsoon month as the intensity of rainfall is really high which increases the water level. One can enjoy river rafting in the Chamba district even if they are a beginner or experienced rafter.
