Sankat Mochan Temple

Devoted to Lord Hanuman, Sankat Mochan temple is one of the topmost places to visit in Himachal Pradesh. This revered temple is nestled amidst the lush greenery and tranquil setting of Himachal Pradesh.

The temple is devoted to Lord Hanuman but can also find idols of Lord Rama, Shiva, and Ganesha in separate complexes. This temple has a huge hall where one can have prasad or langar every Sunday. People can organize marriage ceremonies and other sacred rituals in the building. There is a small park for children and an ayurvedic clinic too, to get medicines for various ailments. The major festivals celebrated at this temple are Ramnavmi, Hanuman Jayanti, and Dusshera.

There is a temple for Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj also. As per the legend, Baba Neeb Karori Ki Maharaj visited this place in the year 1950 and decided to meditate at this spot. After staying here for 10 days he desired a temple devoted to Lord Hanuman should be built here. Baba’s devotees took up the task to build the temple.
