One of the oldest temples in Manali, Siyali Mahadev temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is around 2kms from Manali Bus Station. This temple is renowned for its architectural beauty. The Shiva linga here is said to be existing since ancient times. This temple has a beautiful blend of chalets and pagodas that is the key highlight of the temple. The pagoda has four levels two of which are smaller and is located on one side. This temple’s structure is wooden and rich brown.
One can witness the edges of the roof having pretty carved hanging pieces of wood that looks like tassels from afar. There is another small temple built behind this temple. As per the legend, Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati appeared on earth from a tree trunk where the smaller temple is built. Spend some time sitting here for some hours and get drenched in tranquillity.
